The reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 is something I do enjoy watching. I couldn't imagine raising 8 children, let alone 6 of them being the same age. I know the difficulties I encounter daily raising 1 child that is 3 1/2 years old. The thing I do enjoy about the show is how Kate is always having something to do for the children. I also feel that doing crafts with a toddler helps develop creativity and imagination among many other things. There are tons of great sites out there to give mothers tips on crafting with a toddler. The show keeps my 3 ½ year old entertained as well. No we are not die hard watchers of the show, however if I am flipping through the channels (which isn’t often) and I come across the show, I surely will watch it to see if it’s one I haven’t watched yet. I can’t help but to think back to the shows from the past. The Gosselin family surely isn’t what Leave it to Beaver was like. The show it reminds me of most is Roseanne. I personally like how Kate is not Joan Cleaver! For me, the show is as close to a real life family setting as you get. I know a lot of people comment on Kate’s attitude, but come on that is what makes Kate - Kate. Sure at times she can get testy, but think about it…what would you be like raising 8 children? Obviously Jon is fine with it, so why does everyone else care so much? Love her or hate her, they are making tons of cash due to it all. Kudos to them!

As for the talk of Jon having an affair, No I don’t believe it one bit. I have read many stories online and at the grocery store check out about it. No one would think anything if he was out with a male friend, so why is it any different with a female friend? For me, whether it’s talk good or bad, it is just putting their name out there even more. I do know I will continue to watch the show as I have time.
